Within seconds they were surrounded by single women and champagne was ordered. In minutes these women knew where the men were staying! I feel not random meets at bar! Pity you have to pay for the toilet too. We loved it for people watching. We found this place after having dinner in one of the restaurants nearby. We arrived about 11 pm on Thursday night and it was really busy. Good atmosphere, everyone was very friendly and open. Drinks were pretty pricey but given the location and type of customers that's not surprising.
We left at 3am with a big hangover and a big bill but it was fun so it was worth it. One of the most extensive lists of cocktails that I have ever seen, if you can take your eyes of the back wall! A bar that has buzz with a mixture of Berliners and tourists! The Long Island Iced Tea is a killer. This is when it comes to Berlin the best bar re Mojito and Caipirina.
They can do anything you want, and have an extensive list. It is pretty expensive, but very well located in one of the nicest places in the city. Newton's in in a great location on Gendarmenmarkt in central Berlin. Frequented by more trendy people at weekends but seems to be the travelling business crown during the week. Cocktails are good, can be a little slow as have limited staff and they are expensive but a fun experience in a great location. Worth noting it is frequented by ladies of the night although this is not intrusive or very obvious at first glance!!!
